One relatively recent (May 2009) addition to Google is the Wonder Wheel. When researching keywords to use with this website I stumbled upon this search method, which I hadn't used before. The reason for this seems to be the translation. The Wonder Wheel has been translated not very well as Wunderrad. Wonder = Wunder and Wheel = Rad. A wonderwheel is a Riesenrad, but this really doesn't make sense in German for searching.

So far the search in Mail Archiver X is a very simple one. There are some fields like From and To, you can enter a search term and the app returns all mails in the mailbox which contain the search term. This isn't really sophisticated. Therefore, I'll have a look at other searches to see how these searches work what doesn't work and what could apply to Mail Archiver X. The first blog entry will have a short look at Google.
